My Story:
I started playing on computers in the ’80s with my Atari 2600. I considered myself very lucky because my parents got me a Coleco Vision in addition to the Atari and soon after I got an Atari 400 (one of the first personal computers) to add to my collection!
Eventually, I got an IBM PS/2 and started using Word, Excel, and even Quicken for DOS (I just learned how to reconcile a checking account and loved using Quicken because it would do the math for you)! They were all major time savers!!
I wasn’t a geek in the Steve Wozniak or Bill Gates sense, rather I could see how computers could save time. I have to admit that I did geek-out by reading the manuals for all these software programs from cover-to-cover, learning about their features, then waiting for opportunities to apply them. Believe it or not, many of the features and short-cuts in the DOS version of these programs still work today!
In 2001, I started Business Software Made Easy which initially focused on one-on-one software training for professionals in the Austin area. I would meet individuals at their office or home and assist them with specific software training based on their business needs. I even provided group training to real estate offices, title companies, and several law firms. The key benefit to my clients was my training programs provided effective instruction in about 1-2 hours versus the “typical general” training that would last for a week or more just to cover a single topic.
Eventually my services expanded to include: synchronizing smart phones (think Palm, BlackBerry. later iPhones and Androids), buying and setting up new computers, setting up network printers, setting up networks, sharing data across team, and removing viruses, etc.
Some of my well-known clients include are: SpawGlass, Pappasitos, Pappadeaux, BJs Steakhouse, Guero’s Taco Bar, Chez Zee, Alamo Title, Independence Title, Davis & Wilkerson LLP, Gottesman Residential, Coldwell Banker United, Re/Max Skyline, Eleven (Residential Apartments), 422 at The Lake (residential apartments), and hundreds of small businesses and a few thousand individual professionals in the Austin area!
As Internet speeds increased, computer virus infections also accelerated. Virus removal became one of my more frequently requested services. Initially, the only way to combat them was to run a “Full Scan” using McAfee, Norton, or whatever security software. This was not very efficient since a Full Scan could take as long as 24 hours to complete!
I started playing around with different virus removal software and methods. I have created one that I have used successfully over the last 10 years. It’s fast and effective with a 95% success rate!
Combining my unique virus removal service with the convenience of 1-hour pick-up and delivery, 24 hour turn-around, all for a flat rate has made it one of my most sought after services! I also offer a guarantee: If we cannot remove the virus or spyware your computer is returned to you ASAP at no charge. My PC Heroes’ Virus Removal service offers a convenient way to deal with an inconvenient computer issue.
I hope you don’t have to use our service, but if you do we are here to help!
